At any time don't be surprised if a new member offers to bump a designated Bulletin Buddy for 50/50 sales or note-taking opportunities. We know you will happily step aside to enable their progress against new member orientation program (red badge).
If you wish to be added to the rotation please contact Nancy Thornton.
If a date you've been assigned is not convenient, we appreciate your initiative to exchange with a fellow Rotarian.

Veteran's Day - November 11
Todd Sanders from Hagerty spoke about his experience as a Veteran and what Veterans Day means to him.
He enlisted in 1994 to the Navy and discharged from the Marine Corps to move to Traverse City, where he and his wife enjoy their time being a part of the veteran community and working in the area.
We all have a mission to better serve our veterans:
Give a Veteran a mission
Veterans “Give Dedication”
They will not fail “They will succeed”
Heroes are everywhere - BE ONE
Honor Veterans - “Give them a chance”
Close the Gap - Connection happens in the middle
2015 Backpacks for Kids Raffle - November 18
Andrew Shotwell thanked Becky Ewing for the fabulous job she did gathering prizes for our raffle. Final numbers will be announced at our November 25th program. Peter Raphael did a great job serving as emcee for the raffle drawing. Smiles and chuckles were seen and heard throughout the room as Peter added humor to the announcement of each prize.
Each year we volunteer as part of the Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign to raise funds for those in need.
We still have a couple openings that need to be filled for Saturday December 5th, and Tuesday December 8th. Please check the online sign-up by clicking on event (see left margin).
Each Sunrise Rotarian has the opportunity to serve as part of our leadership team -- there are no pre-requisites. This is a great vehicle for members to learn more about the operations of the club, and to help guide us towards our members' stated goals.
We are seeking recommendations and/or interested volunteers willing to serve as:
Club Director (2 positions, July 1, 2016 - June 30, 2018)
Club Treasurer (July 1, 2016 - June 30, 2018)
President Nominee (serves as President Elect July 1, 2016 - June 30, 2017, Club President July 1, 2017 - June 30, 2018, and as Immediate Past President July 1, 2018 - June 30, 2019)
If you are interested, or if you have a recommendation, please make that known to any of our past presidents, Craig and/or Linda.
At our November 18th meeting we drew the names of the lucky winners of our 2015 Backpacks for Kids Raffle. Thank you to each individual and business that supported us through donation of prizes and purchase of tickets.
