Tour at North Ed Career Tech Facility
Dec. 03, 2025 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.

Northwest Education Services Career Tech (North Ed Career Tech) is opening its doors to welcome members of the Traverse Bay Area Sunrise Rotary for an engaging facilities tour that showcases the school's state-of-the-art career and technical education programs. This special visit, facilitated by Patrick (Pat) Lamb, Assistant Superintendent of Career and Technical Education, will provide Rotary members with firsthand insight into the hands-on learning environments where students develop real-world skills for in-demand careers.

The morning will feature a delicious breakfast prepared and served by North Ed Career Tech's talented Culinary Arts students, demonstrating their professional cooking and hospitality skills in action. This authentic learning experience allows students to practice menu planning, food preparation, presentation, and customer service while hosting distinguished community guests. The breakfast service exemplifies the school's commitment to experiential learning, where students gain practical competencies that translate directly to workplace success.

Throughout the facilities tour, Rotary members will explore various program areas, observe students engaged in career-focused coursework, and learn about the innovative partnerships and pathways that connect North Ed Career Tech students to postsecondary education and employment opportunities. Under Pat Lamb's leadership, this collaboration between North Ed Career Tech and the Traverse Bay Area Sunrise Rotary strengthens community connections and highlights the vital role career and technical education plays in developing the region's skilled workforce.

Northwest Education Services Career Tech Overview

  • Emphasizes experiential learning where students develop job-ready skills through real-world projects and applications
  • Maintains partnerships with local businesses, industries, and community organizations to ensure curriculum relevance and create student opportunities
  • Prepares students for both immediate workforce entry and postsecondary education through industry certifications and articulated college credit options
  • Led by Patrick (Pat) Lamb, Assistant Superintendent of Career and Technical Education, who oversees program development and community engagement initiatives

Super Bowl Raffle
Jan. 02, 2026 - Feb. 11, 2026 12:00 p.m.
It is Super Bowl time and that means Sunrise Rotary's third annual fundraiser which supports Backpacks for Kids, Born to Read and Access to education in Malawi. To purchase, contact a Traverse Bay Sunrise Rotarian or email tcsunriserotary.org.

Rotarians this how it works.
  • Sell entries for the Super Bowl raffle to your friends, coworkers and family for $35 for one square and $30 for two or more. (Flyer and rules are attached)
  • Email Nicole VanNess the information from the stub on the flyer for every ticket sold at nicole@downtowntc.com
  • Bring funds collected a Rotary meeting. If you collect cash please keep the cash and write a check to the Rotary Club of Traverse Bay Sunrise (not the foundation).
  • Online payment through PayPal on our club's website - tcsunriserotary.org
  • Game boards will be emailed to all participants so collection of email address is imperative!
  • Watch the Super Bowl and track who wins!
Each ticket sold will get the person one entry onto 100 square board. All entries will be randomly assigned to a board and we will likely have multiple boards. At the end of each quarter, someone will win $300 based on last digit of the current score.

We are not accepting entries after 12 noon on February 11th. So please print out the flyer (double sided) and ask your friends, co-workers and family to support our signature outreach programs. One square funds 2 backpacks!

Take a few minutes and reach out to your friend, coworkers and family. If you are attending a Super Bowl party email this form out and get everyone to buy some squares to make your party more interesting!

Thanks for your support of this fundraiser and have fun with it!
