Mar. 14, 2020 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
If you or anyone you know would be interested in being an ambassador for our Born to Read program please share the attached flyer. We are having an ambassador training on March 14th from 9:30am to 12pm at NMC in Scholars Hall room 101.
Once trained, Born to Read Ambassadors are qualified to read books to children at local food pantries and also give books to those children to take home and keep.
This is a key aspect of our Born to Read program and we can not do it without ambassadors.
Remember, because we are working directly with children, you have to go through the training to be able to read at any of our locations, but once you are trained you don't have to start reading right away. If you think you might ever want to be a reader this is a great opportunity to get the training out of the way.
Also, this is open the public, not just Rotarians, so if you know of anyone that would be interested in supporting early childhood literacy please share this with them.
Thank you for your support and please reach out to Adam Beers or Mary Kay Archer if you have any questions.

May 13, 2020
As you know, the Boathouse restaurant has long supported our local Rotary Youth Exchange by hosting an annual fundraiser. It is our turn to show our support for them at this time. The Boathouse has an established to-go menu that they are using and they have agreed to let our club order in advance for the Wednesday night special of two burgers and a bottle of wine for $36. Please indicate your willingness and interest in ordering for Wednesday, May 13th by Monday, May 11th at 10am. Thanks in advance for your community support! This electronic invitation is for members only ---but, you can register other guests if you like. A member of the Boathouse team will be calling you directly Tuesday, May 12th using the phone number in your ClubRunner profile to: 1. Get your credit card info over the phone
2. Confirm your wine selection
3. They are happy to leave your burgers unassembled, please just let them know at that time.
4. And, have everything ready for you to pick up at the time you determine for Wednesday night, May 13th.
