President's Award
Sean recognized Lindsey with a special 'Presidents Award' for committing to serve as Youth Exchange Officer so he could be free to take on the leadership role for our club. It's a huge responsibility, and he (and we) are deeply grateful.
Special Program
Immediate Past President Laura Jolly presided over the remaining program which was our annual President send-off, recognition of outgoing officers/directors and installation of new officers/directors.
Outgoing Officers/Directors -- Our heartfelt thanks to Kathy Johnson for her 2 years of service as Club Secretary, and also to Tom Gilbert and Stephanie Murray for their 2-years of service as Director. It also goes without saying that we are deeply grateful to Sean for his year of leadership . . . but, technically, he's not off the hook yet! He gets to serve one more year on our Board as Immediate Past President!
Incoming Officers/Directors -- Craig Weckler was installed as Club President. Linda Raetz was installed as President Elect. Gary Brown was installed as Club Secretary, and Julane Underhill was installed as Director (both will serve a 2-year term). Ted Watson, our other incoming Director, was not able to join us this morning so we will install him at next available opportunity.
President Send-Off -- Laura bestowed Sean with a couple stands of green beads and some wild, rockin' shades. Our theme this year was Rush Rocks . . . we presented Sean with rocks painted with the name "RUSH" and he was given a collection of great quotes from notable rock stars. The real star of the show was Sean's rockin-son Kyle who sang his rendition of Man in the Mirror and the Neil Young classic, Old Man. Sean was driven off in a stunning green convertible Triumph!
